Shikhar Boarding High School is not just a school, it is a psycho-social concept which emerges with the inter-action of three components-teachers, Students and the community. The student acquires Knowledge at S.B.H.S. more than education - it is an experience. Our motto is to enrich our students with education, skills, confidence and attitude, which are needed by them to face difficulties that come in life.

Twelve years ago our respected Principal Mr. Chandra Man Shakya dared to dream a dream and we are determined to make it a reality with a confidence that "The future belongs to those who believe in making reality of their dreams."

S.B.H.S. believes in the saying of Aristotle that, "Educating  the mind without educating the heart is no education at all." We, S.B.H.S. teachers are trying to be well versed with this fact. We are committed to enrich our students in all aspects. In this effort we organize frequently a variety of extra-curricular activities such as house wise English-Nepali essay competition, spelling contest, debate competition, art-competition, English-Nepali oratory competition, educational tour, class wise picnic, T.T. competition, Badminton competition etc. Recently S.B.H.S. has started music training, dance training and martial art training classes. We are committed to serve guidelines whenever they need, advise them and counsel them time to time in a proper way.

As far as academic improvement is concerned, S.B.H.S. is inclining in its academic sector as well. We are trying to provide our students with quality education as much as possible with new ideas and views. We produced cent percent result in first division in S.L.C. In future also by the grace of god and our dedication we will try to keep it up to our level best.

We, the teachers of S.B.H.S. are trying to counsel our students how to keep their moral and emotional attitudes right and how to keep the school situation healthy. Our respected Principal counsel them in everyday during the morning assembly and our E.C.A. Committee is also active to maintain the displine of the school as well. We would like to appeal on behalf of S.B.H.S. to our parents/guardians to co-operate with us to maintain the dignity and basic moral values of education.

Finally, We would like to say that, "S.B.H.S. is not a mere school - it is a way of life."
